Jordan Bowden will not play Wednesday against Vanderbilt as the freshman guard is still battling what’s been described as the flu.
The freshman guard from Knoxville’s Carter High School started in Tennessee’s 90-70 win over Missouri on Saturday, but played only one minute before checking out of the game for good.
"He was really sick and wanted to try to play the other night,” Tennessee head coach Rick Barnes said on Monday, “couldn't do it."
Tennessee (15-12, 7-7 SEC) hosts Vanderbilt (14-13, 7-7) at 6:30 p.m. (TV: SEC Network) at Thompson-Boling Arena as both teams fight to keep their NCAA tournament hopes alive.
